Use of API for academic project on a local machine

I want to use API to fetch reviews of movies and then do some processing on those reviews and display as a summary.
I don't have any application URL as of now(and may not later too, because I'll be making the application on a local machine), how do I request for an API key?

You can just enter N/A for the application. No worries.
