Hi mazleu,

Not at this time, but it's definitely something I am looking into.

So at the moment, i cant get the episode title with the absolute number? I hope you can integreat this soon, for animes this is a problem.

That is correct.

At the same time however, we're in the middle of migrating anime to single running seasons where applicable. So all of this is in flux and currently being worked on.

I want to develope your work. How much must I spend that the API also work with direct episode numbers? ;-)

Absolute episode numbers is on deck, but not yet being worked on. I am not sure as to a timeline, I have some other work to finish up first.

Can I contact you private? I realy want to spend for your great work, but I don't see this option on the site.

We don't have any pay/donate/sponsor options available. I schedule my work as I see fit, but I can assure you this is something I'll be looking at in the next few weeks.

Sorry for the (somewhat) necro, but can you elaborate on what is considered "applicable"? As already mentioned in another discussion a lot of the longer running shows are split into "Seasons" in various databases (not just TVDB, even IMDB lists them as seasons, Wikipedia too).

They are typically not Seasons in the traditional sense of american show productions (like GoT has 10 episodes produced per year or licensing), but usually they are divided thematically. When you look at shows like One Piece, there are 18 seasons by now, but those seasons are separate story arcs with different characters, of course they have varying lenghts. Throwing all (nearly) 800 episodes into one season would make it a mess imo (at least I like having them separated, and figured out my naming scheme for both scrape options). Having both of them is really the way to go in my opinion.

Then again, especially the shorter running series (like Shakugan no Shana or Sword Art Online) typically have actual production related seasons.

DVD Number order like mentioned here on the other hand isn't all that useful in my opinion. The problem is that different countries have the DVDs split up differently, or there might be multiple releases even in one country, I don't see much of a point of having them. Looking at scraping I'm not even sure there are mediacenters that even scrape this data, they rely more on the naming of the files. When you got an iso image of a DVD it's just more practical to have it be s01e01-s01e04 or similar as a naming scheme.

PS: What's up with One Piece's numbering by the way? It's split into Seasons, but using the absolute numbers inside them. That's... odd, and there's no way I could scrape that :( I considered switching my scraper from TVDB to TMDB for a while, stuff like this complicates things :/ Might just end up using 2 sources in Kodi and use both scrapers, but then my directory structure would be a mess... oh well :/
