The Movie Database Support

I am using https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/popular?api_key=### api to load popular movies. However I want to load data / movies in chunks i.e.initially first set of movies should be loaded and when the user scrolls on web page next set of movies should be loaded. I am able to figure out parameters to be sent in url minimum and maximum parameters are given in document but I think those are for pages not number for number of elements in response array "results" Could anyone please suggest. Thanks a lot in

is there any way that this api will send response data "results" in number of chunks? number / count can be passed as additional parameter from UI side. Please help !!!

Hi Sushil,

We do not support sending custom page sizes. All of our list responses are capped at 20 items per page. You can if course use the page param to iterate through all of the pages.

Thanks Travis for your reply. Ok. As mentioned, I am using https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/popular?api_key=### api to get list of popular movies. Response consists of { "page": 1, "results" : [..], "total_results" : 19681, "total_pages" : 985 }

I am only getting page 1 through the give api. I was just curious whether this behavior correct. I tried by adding minimum and maximum parameters in request. Are there only 20 popular movies? How can I get more than one page data? Please suggest.

Thanks you so much once again. Best Regards, Sushil Pangarkar

Hi Sushil,

How can I get more than one page data?

You use the page parameter.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/popular?api_key=###&page=1
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/popular?api_key=###&page=2

Etc.

Thank you so much Travis!!!!
