Set of countries/languages in which movie data are provided in TMDB

Hi,
I observed in the list of upcoming movies and currently playing movies, that movies from many countries are included, like India, Germany, France, Spain, etc. Is there any specific set of countries/languages for which the data is provided? For example, Bengali movies are low-key, low-budget and usually not worth mentioning. Will Bengali films be included as well, if one is supposed to be released next week?

Hi Cupidvogel,
Right now everything that is a movie (not a movie marked as a video though) is included. The query simply looks at every release date in the db and returns the list of movies that match. There is plan to support per country querying later this year but it has not been worked on yet.

Thanks..Although if you are indeed going to provide a granular level API for movies, may be you can base it on language rather than country?

Hi Cupidvogel,
Well, it will be powered by the new region based language/country codes. There's no data filtering to do with just a language. For that, it sounds like you're looking for more of ticket #464 as opposed to ticket #176.

Hmm looks like it. Specifically a country code can be rendered completely useless in a country like India, where there are hundreds of languages.. :)
