I was just checking some of the upcoming movies and noticed that the release dates are not correct. For example, the release date for "Captain America: Civil War" from the API is 4/27/16, while the actual release date is 5/6/16. the release date for "X-men:Apocalypse" from the API is 5/1/16, while the actual release date is 5/27/16. and many more.
Why are those not correct ? What is the story here ?

Hi, I think it goes by first theatrical no matter where the movie is first released. The US release for both of those movies are later than first theatrical. The 5/1/16 was incorrect though, but now first theatrical is 5/18/16 for that movie. I think you have to change some setting to get the US release dates.

Thanks. Any ideas how would I make the dates match the US release dates ? Basically I want them to match those from IMDB.

Hi alshubba,
For list methods (search/discover/popular, etc...) release dates and certifications don't yet take a region into account. This is planned and will be available in the next few months. If you are calling the full details method, you can call /release_dates to get a list and parse yourself.
