The Movie Database Support

Hi, soon I will start with a new web project, and I'm still importing the whole movie and tv titles with german translation. That works fine, but I've one question. The movie "Terminator: Genisys (2015)" has the ID "87101" but the last movie ID is far away (391378) from this. That means, when I start a new request with "my" last ID to the last TMDb ID, I would'nt get all "new" movies, when they have an old ID? :(

Hi jakothan,

I'm not quite sure I follow your question... We don't reuse ID's, if that's kind your question. If not, elaborate a little and I'll try to help.

Cheers.

Hi Travis, I currently import all movies and tv shows with german translation. I startet with ID 550 and I'll stop at the last TMDb ID. The next import will start with the last TMDb ID that I've imported. But if "new" movies have an lower ID, I'll never import them?! My import counts ID+1 for every request.

New movies will never have a lower ID, we don't reuse ids. You can always count on resuming from the previous "newest" ID.

Ok, that's great! Thank you! ;)
