Hi Travis,
Google Play Store rejected my app submission for "unauthorized use of copyrighted content in your promotional screenshot". They said I've no right to use the movies' poster. For a new submission, they're asking me a "documentation proving that you have permission to use a 3rd party's intellectual property in your app or store listing".
I see other apps use copyrighted content into Play Store. Is there a documentation that you can provide?
Thank you, Alessio.

Hi Travis,
I've submitted an appeal to Google. After some days they answer me reaffirming that "your app violates our Unauthorized Use of Copyrighted Content policy. You are allowed to use the movie contents (images) within your app, but you are not allowed to use the images as part of your store listing, including promotional screenshots. I recommend using generic images as placeholder for your promotional screenshots."
I can only modify my screenshots, by now, in order to avoid block of my account, but I'm wondering why for others app is not the same. I'm wrong for sure, but it's interesting to know why. :)
Thank you so much, Alessio.

Hi Alessio,
There was another case of this discussed here: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5487cf7bc3a3684151000540
I have never provided anything extra, so those who have made it through are either doing some more clever things than others or just lucky. I wish I had more information for you. I believe most have had success by blocking out the images from the listing.
