There's 2 ways you would normally get the id of a keyword.

First, by calling (for example) the /keywords method on a movie. This will return a list of keyword (along with the id).

Second, would be to use /search/keyword. An example request would look like:

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/keyword?api_key=###&query=cat

This will return a list of items with a name and id.

Yes.

Comma = AND
Pipe = OR

Use pipe, | .
See the rule:

AND/OR Logic
Also note that a number of filters support being comma (,) or pipe (|) separated.
Comma's are treated like an AND query while pipe's are treated like an OR.
This allows for quite complex filtering depending on your desired results.

What @ticao2 said is true for discover. This does not work on search.
