Getting show from episode ID

Hi,
I am currently finding the episodes using the external IMDB id for each episode, but I want the season's poster to go with them.
However, there is (as far as I know) no way to find the show that belongs to an episode.
So, in short, how do I find the show that a certain episode ID belongs to?

Hm, indeed.. Well then, it seems my library does not do this :(
Good to know that it's possible, sad to know I'll have to either change libraries or do it myself..
