system won't accept the phone number

I'm stuck when entering information to get an API key. I've tried entering a phone number in all sort of formats (with area code, without area code, with and without parentheses around the area code...) but I always get the error
"Unable to request API key because: Contact phone is not a number".
Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

Hi kurtik,
Can you give me some examples of what you're entering? I can see lots of requests go through the past few hours so I'm not sure what it could be.

I've tried (substituting numbers for the x's): xxx-xxx-xxxx, (xxx) xxx-xxxx, xxx-xxxx, xxx xxxx ...all with my phone number, and also tried similar formats with a second number
Is there any particular format that's required?
