There a lot of duplicates in networks, I think you really want to make it impossible for people to create one and only allow them to choose from a list. I'm pretty sure almost all of existing networks are present on the site.
Here's an example of a duplicate network with MTV: https://www.themoviedb.org/network/33 https://www.themoviedb.org/network/488 https://www.themoviedb.org/network/335
But I think I encountered a few dupes on BBC and other networks.

I also suggest "Airs On" be replaced with "Original network" to avoid confusion. If you look for example at https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/45-top-gear It has listed: British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC HD, BBC Two, BBC America British Broadcasting Corporation is not a network, it's a company, BBC HD is just a spin off channel that broadcasts shows in HD, BBC America is BBC's channel in the US which has no involvement whatsoever with top gear's production though produces shows of its own. The only network that has a right to be there is BBC Two.
Now there are countless errors like this on the website

Agree with this!
Travis is still working on getting networks and production company pages to the new version as far as I know, so maybe it could be implemented :)
Also for networks maybe an country indication, some countries have networks with the same name, like the Belgian network ATV. It's also used in Austria or Australia, if I'm correct.
