Release dates in a specific country?

Hi!
I am trying to get 1/ the list of movies currently playing in my country (France) 2/ the list of movies that will be released next week also in France.
So far I have not managed to understand how to do that, because the API seems to reply with the American release dates (even when I put language=fr). I suppose this information is available because I see it when browsing the TMDB website.
What would be a way to do this?

Hi BoD,
There is no way to get locale specific lists at this time. We only support language translations. I have an open ticket for this here and hope to find some time to get to in the near of future.

I thought I'd let you know that filtering by region and release type has been pushed live. You can read more about this on the blog.
