The Movie Database Support

Hi!

I'm new to The Movie DB, and I was just trying to see how the API works. Unfortunately the Apiary site doesn't allow to test the API because it is not possible to add query parameters. I thought it was maybe a problem with Apiary so I asked their support and here's there reply:

Just taken a look into this and it's due to "The Movie Database API"'s API is described in our legacy format which has never supported parameters in the same way that our new documentation offers.

We introduced a brand new API Description language called API Blueprint back in early 2013 which replaces the legacy Apiary Blueprint that this API is using.

Unfortunately there isn't much we can do about this at Apiary. The owner of this API would need to migrate to the new API Blueprint format for these features.

So it looks like the problem is on your side :) [sorry to be the one to bring the bad news].

Thanks for your service!

Hi BoD,

Yes, I am aware of this. For now you'll have to test against the production endpoint. Migrating the docs is a lot of work and unfortunately, not something I have time for right now. :(
