Release year for movies in Pre-Production

I noticed the movie Free Fire is listed without a release year. On researching it elsewhere I found it is still in pre-production ("planned" in TMDB????) (IMDB says 2016 btw). It would be nice to add it's (and others like it) pending release year. I am aware of release "date" but this is a different issue as the movie(s) has not been released.

If it is a good guess that the movie will be released in 2016 then you can add a 2016 release date (for example, 2016-12-31 just to be sure). Then we can adjust it when more information appears.

I thought is would be the answer but I was not sure whether to use the beginning or end of the year in question. Upon reflection the end if the year makes more sense as it encompasses release anytime during that year.
