on_the_air not returning a full list

using the GET command:
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/on_the_air?api_key=###
returns a much smaller result set than expected. For example, it is not showing the shows "The Following", or "Chicago P.D.", and likely a number of other shows that are currently on the air.
Is there something I'm missing?
