When do website edits become consistent with API calls?

If I have made edits on movies, actors, etc... how long can I expect before this information is available through my API requests?
I saw this discussion https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5345e9660e0a265fe90006d6
I have no idea what XMBC is.. but can I assume 12 hours?

Hi christinekim,
Yes, it is the same although some pages are less. You can inspect the
X-Memc-Expiresheader that is returned with each request. This is the number of seconds until the item will expire. TheX-Memc-Ageheader is how long the item has been in cache.Reply by christinekim
