Couldn't find a feature/suggestion category so posting here.
I like how we can vote on posters, but, I think what would be a good feature on the site is that the main poster seen should be the highest voted poster that has a 2:3 ratio.
Even if a poster is rated higher, if it's some odd size like 900x1500, the site looks for the poster with a 2:3 ratio and the highest votes and uses it instead.
Reasoning is that it keeps the main posters more consistent looking plus people (like me) running a media server like XBMC/KODI it just looks better when all the artwork has a consistent ratio.
Just an idea.

Hi THRobinson,
Yup, I agree. I've been talking about tightening up the "primary" poster rules. At some point we'll end up locking them, but on the road to being able to lock a poster, I think making the validation for what can be shown as the primary poster could be changed as well.
Some people have recently discussed why this might be important. I just thought I'd mention, if you take a browse though the discover area, or any of the new account pages, you'll see that things look really nice when everything is nice and consistent. Consistency is a very important aspect of TMDb.
Thanks for the comments!

Agreed, consistency is key.
That's why I joined... scrolling through my media server I had some odd-sized posters so came on here and started voting and for movies where there were no 2:3 posters I created them.
Problem is that some have been here so long that they have too many votes to get pushed out of the #1 spot.
