Hello Travis,
I have developed an app for IOS that uses the Tmdb Api called shake-a-movie and have it published to the app store but apple has reject it because of metadata. I wrote them that all imagery is promotional imagery and the content holders therefore should want those images to be published anywhere possible. I stated that there are some apps in the app store that uses TMDBs API and have been approved. https://www.themoviedb.org/apps They send me the following:
App Store answer: Thank you for the message. After review of the documentation we are requesting further documentation demonstrating your right to use the third-party content. Please be sure to include dates, rights holders' names, your company's name, and relevant signatures. Acceptable documentation includes a copy of your contract with the copyright holder or a letter from the copyright holder to your company, detailing your authorization. Please make sure the documentation you provide specifies the rights for commercial use as the App Store is considered a commercial environment, even if you choose to offer your app for free.
Do you have anything that you can send me regarding to the requirements that are stated in the APP store answer? Like a letter detailing your authorization? Anything you could do to help would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to hearing from you Best Regards Timotej
