Hi
With thiis Request i get a total page count that is over 1000.
http://api.themoviedb.org/3/discover/movie?with_genres=&language=de&vote_average.gte=1&vote_average.lte=10&with_cast=&api_key=
If i set the page to a value over 1000 i get this error.
Invalid page: Pages start at 1 and max at 1000. They are expected to be an integer.
Is there anything wrong with my requests or is this an error in the API?

Hi GehirnschneckenBob,
We don't support paging past page 1000. All of our results are limited to the first 20,000 items.

And how it is possible to retrieve the results past the 20.000 Items ?

We can't fathom a useful reason anyone would actually page through 1000 pages. We've always told people who want more data like this that they should probably bring all of the data in house and build out the schema and DB internally for their own needs.

I dont want to page through 1000 pages I just want to present a random movie to the user. What do you mean with "bring all the data inhouse" ? Did you mean to downlaod all movies on my own server and build a webservice at my own ?

I'd go about this a different way, grab the id from the /movie/latest method and then randomize a number between 1 and the result. You will of course have to deal with deleted ids, but it's easy enough to loop through trying the id until you get a 200 status back (as opposed to a deleted movie which will return a 404).
Alternative, if you need the filters you have above in your discover filter, you'll just have to randomize a page between 1 and 1000, and then randomize which item you show from the 20 results on that page.

I Dont think you mean that i can download all the data from your Webservice and update this every month, or ?

Can't we have a list of all movies present. It says in the api that you have around 2,50,000 movies.
