Insufficient TV Data

Hi
I hope this is the right place to post this
I really love themoviedb, a lot, it was very thrilling to get TV data too, however, it seems the data is insufficient, the major tv shows are up to date, however there are some new shows that don't exist at themoviedb (also some near-major shows like "Orphan Black" are lacking some episode photo's - there are 2 "Pokemon" tv shows with varying missing seasons - and similar issues)
For example: "Garfunkel and Oates" is missing - not a major show, however a good show, under eztv's radar too
I know the obvious thing to do is to add them myself and support themoviedb, however, unfortunately, I don't have much free time to do this (I'm also not sure whether I'm qualified)
I was under the impression that themoviedb, whether officially or unofficially was extending tvdb, which was great, their data seems complete, however their API was very irritating / hard to work with, unlike themoviedb
Is it not possible to solve this issue?
I guess I just want to hear that everything will be alright :)
Please let me know if there is anything I can do

With regards to episode images, I have an open ticket here, to go back and do a back fill of them. Many of the newer seasons/series have actually been getting >720p episode images uploaded by users, which is pretty cool. Take a look at The Strain, Hell on Wheels, Manhattan, The Knick, etc...
In the past 30 days, 1078 unique series have been edited by 320 editors. We're doing pretty good I think. It can take a bit of time for people to shift their apps over and unless the apps people are using use our data, there's not as much incentive to help clean up our data. It's a bit of a chicken or the egg problem. We've been making good strides on this though, TV API traffic is way up year over year/6 months over 6 months/ and month over month, so we're getting there.
This isn't really true. Our initial import was from Freebase which is a mix of TVDb, TVRage and Wikipedia. Images did mostly come from TVDb I suppose, but as I mentioned above, we're getting a lot of our own images now, that don't exist on TVDb as well, both series and episode level images.
Hope that helps explain the state of TV here on TMDb for you :D
