Strange 404 error when searching for movies, syntax seems OK

Hi folks,

I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue where any movie search will return a 404 / "Invalid id: The pre-requisite id is invalid or not found." message.

The request I have been trying is this:

curl --include --header "Accept: application/json" http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=XXX&query=Gladiator

My API key seems to be valid as I can retrieve info about a movie if I have its ID through

curl --include --header "Accept: application/json" http://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/98?api_key=XXX

and as far as I can tell my syntax is correct as well, so I really have no clue to what the issue could be.

Any ideas?

I believe this is just a cURL syntax issue. Try this (with quotes):

curl --include --header "Accept: application/json" 'http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=XXX&query=Gladiator'

That solved it.

Putting quotes around it should probably have been my first reaction, but I guess I didn't see the forest for the trees.
