The Movie Database Support

Hi, I have tried to find info on the tps limit on this forum but I found the links were broken. What is the limit of requests per day / second? Is there a way to have this limit increased in case we need to? We will add caching on our side, but just to be sure. I can provide more details about our usecase. Do you have a form I can submit for this? Thanks.

Hi knod,

The request limits are mention on the docs: http://docs.themoviedb.apiary.io

  • 30 requests every 10 seconds per IP
  • Maximum 20 simultaneous connections per IP

There is no way to increase the limit, this is a global setting and cannot be change per IP/API key.

Cheers.

Is there a way to download part of your database and update it periodically with diffs?

No, there is not.

You are however, free to use our change methods and import and diff the data you are interested in. This is all outlined in the documentation.

Cheers.
