Hi Travis,
Wondered whether we could add the following jobs :
Carpenter
Casting Associate
Hair Department Head
Thx
Mod edit:
You can request missing crew jobs in this topic. The new crew jobs have to be English and free of spelling mistakes. Please specify in which of the following departments each new job should be created: Directing, Writing, Editing, Camera, Production, Art, Costume & Make-Up, Visual Effects, Sound, Lighting, or Crew.
Kindly try to avoid making duplicates job requests (search the last few pages), or requesting crew jobs that are already added to TMDb.

@travisbell Could you maybe add the suggested jobs soon?
I have been helping out with adding miniseries lately and I have found that most of the jobbs I cant find/add are in this List.
I suggest we/you add all the Jobs on this list and then close the Discussion and create a new one for new jobs not on this list, This will help out with finding the jobs as this list is getting very long...

Yes, that would be great!
BUT:
@viktorvav99 , can you please stop updating your earlier posts with new suggestions! I know @lineker suggested this to you earlier here in this thread, but it's very distracting to keep up with your new suggestions this way and it drives me crazy. Instead, please add new one's in new posts, accordingly - the way @banana_girl does it all the time. Thank you!
@viktorvav99 , please check new suggestions with the current list of suggestions - many of your new suggestion were already done (some of them a long time ago). I just made a new complete list of all suggestions - see below. Please check with this list and the master list in the other thread.
@all Before Travis can add the new suggestions, I think we have to figure out how we deal with the master list and the general idea of using primary names and alternatives. Honestly, I don't feel that the idea of the master list is a good one anymore! Because it causes much more problems than it achieves any progress, and it's not really worth all our time. I could write about my reasons longer, but I don't really have the time to do this properly at the moment (and I don't feel anyone is interested at all, by the way ...).
I just made a new complete list of all suggestions so far - it follows right here. Please check if anything seems wrong or unclear or should be moved or ... whatever. I have a feeling we could remove some of them for different reasons, one of them is definitely point no. 3 above!
Best wishes,
janar

Consider it done! I too felt it became too confusing!
I thought I did but I might have missed some. (My bad will do better in the future)
Great job with the new List!

This isn't really a suggestion but more of an inquiry.
What does o.b. stand for in: o.b. sound and o.b. lighting?
I found these jobs when adding credits from IMDb but I have no idea what o.b. stand for...
Do you guys know what it means? And if you do should we add them as jobs?

I googled it, and it stands for "Outside Broadcast". It seems to be used mostly in the UK.
@janar72 can you please edit "C" (and "D"?) camera jobs into your list?
edit: oh and "Field Director"

I just did.
There are probably a few things still to fix in this list, but I'm too lazy to go through this today.
There are also a few things that were still open/unresolved and I just put them into one category yesterday - and it so happened that "VFX Production Manager" was suggested twice in sections "PRODUCTION" and "VISUAL EFFECTS". Where does it belong?

@janar72 Please add Executive Co-Producer in the Production department to your list.
Thanks in advance!

That other site seems to put in it in visual effects.
I propose the following changes (keep in mind that I'm a crew jobs newbie
):
Maybe Crew instead? "Script Supervisor" is in Direction, but it doesn't seem right to me.
Maybe Art? I don't know, it feels kind of wrong in Direction.
Maybe Visual Effects? That's where VFX Editor currently is.
Maybe Visual Effects too?
Maybe Sound?
Maybe Editing with "Colorist"?
Editing too? Probably should be "Digital Colorist" for consistency.
Maybe Editing with "Digital Intermediate"?
Sorry, I was lazy. I think Crew would be a better fit.
Edit: New requests!

I have a few more:
Art:
Crew:
Costume & Make-Up:
Lighting:
Camera:
Production:
Editing:
Sound :
Some of them might be too similar to an existing/requested job, though.. I'm not sure.

Sorry about the delay - I just have too much work at the moment and no time for TMDb at all. I added the new suggestions and fixed mistakes; I hope I didn't make any mistakes myself ...

Hi again @janar72
Could you add Drone Pilot to the Camera department.
Thanks in advance!

We have a "Drone Operator" already in Crew. Is that not the same job? The person operating/piloting the drone.

Could very well be the same job. I'm not sure.
Maybe we add it as an alternate in @banana_girl master list instead then?
Edit:
In any case I think it should be in the camera department and not crew.
