Release dates

If I want to limit the releases within a timeframe such as:
I get back release dates that are greater than 2013-12-31. Am I missing something?

The release date constraints searches all release dates that are added to a movie. It is not a "primary release date" search. There's an open ticket to support the same query but with the primary release date here, and was also discussed here.
