Generating an API key - is it possible if I don't have an application yet?

Hi,
I came across your wonderful site recently and I am thinking of using your API to build a commercial application. However, I don't have anything yet. When I tried to generate the API key, after the terms and conditions (which I agree with), I need to fill data regarding the application (url, name, etc). Since I would like to test and play with the API for now, I don't have such details yet.
Is it possible to generate an API key without filling in information about the application?

Hi Stan,
If you're still in development, request a developer key and under the application details enter "N/A".
