Hello,
where do those backdrop-images come from? I mean, could they be used for example on my (becoming) website on the profile-page of particular film?

Most of the backdrops are user created. We often call them fan art.
You can use them yes. As with any user of our API though, just be sure to follow our terms of use, especially the part around attributing TMDb as the source of the images and/or data.
