Hey,
I know v3 does not fall back to English in the event that a field hasn't been translated, but, if I want to implement something like that myself, what "fields" are dependent per translation?
For example, does cast/crew depend on translation or is it outside to scope to be translated?...ie, is it the same value no matter what language you select since it doesn't need to be translated?
What fields are in scope for translation vs out of scope?

There's a list of the fields that are translatable here: https://www.themoviedb.org/documentation/editing#translating-content
Cast is not translatable at the moment, it is the same with every language.
