Genres in API that can't be added on website

There are several genres that I get when fetching the genre-list from the API that can't be added on the website. The example on http://docs.themoviedb.apiary.io/#genres contains a list of all the genres. For example, I'm trying to add Musical to a movie (Baal) but only Music will show up. Similarly, I can't add Road Movie or Eastern.
If these are 'plot keywords' why are they listed as genres in the API?

Bump as this still appears to be an issue. "Musical" does not show up in the list of genres that can be added to a movie. There are a number of movies that have the "Music" genre that should have the "Musical" genre instead (i.e. Musicals that have nothing to do with Music itself: Across the Universe, Chicago, Grease, Les Misérables,...).
Edit: Just realized the big "Genre cleanup" thread still isn't resolved... perhaps that is why Musical shows up in the API list but not in the list available on the website. It would be nice if something could be done in the meantime...
