The reason it got deleted was because it showed up among the newest additions to the database. If I see something that doesn't belong I always take care of it at once. That way the bad content usually won't make it out to third party sites such as letterboxd.

I also just cleaned up among the other Winnie the Pooh DVDs. If you find something that I missed, please report it. There were a few TV-specials that I decided to keep, but maybe they should be gone as well.

Per your request I did send an e-mail to the worst offender (20+ entries added). So, why didn't I send an e-mail to you? Because it takes time to write an e-mail for every removed item and because I think it makes much more sense to go after the repeat offenders.

One solution would be to create a public log where deleted items can be displayed with a reason for deletion (duplicate, TV-content etc.) next to it. That way if you find one of your entries have been removed, you could just check the log.

I understand that writing an e-mail every time a change or deletion takes place takes a lot of time. A public log would be great though!

I notice that "The Many Adventures of WInnie the Pooh" formerly appeared in the database and no longer does. I'm guessing, but I suspect this change is where it got removed. I think that was probably a mistake, but I don't know the policy precisely. It is a movie made by stitching together several existing shorts with some new material.

Intropy, I didn't remove it the first time, but when it appeared again, I looked it up and noticed that the major part of the movie was indeed made from some older shorts. And since those shorts already exist in the database that makes this movie a duplicate. So, since some other moderator had deleted it before I decided to remove it again.

And yes, this is a case where a log would have been helpful. I was 100 percent sure it was a mistake at first...
