Hi TMDB should this work? http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=[keyremoved]&query=%C2%A1Three+Amigos!&language=en
it doesnt but this does http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=[keyremoved]&query=%A1Three+Amigos!&language=en

There is a known issue when trying to search for non English characters. This should be fixed by the end of the week.
