How many movies does TMDB index? roughly?

I know i can't ask for a copy of the database but how can i construct my own local copy by querying TMDB as requests are limited to 30 every 10 seconds? for example, can i make 1 request for every movie on TMDB and all meta data associated with it? i.e. images etc. If not could i query every movie on TMDB by having a loop that has an incremental a counter (movie ID does every movie on TMDB have a unique id?) and have it sleep every 10 seconds? so i am still within my request limit?

The whole reason for doing this is more one of reliability, not that TMDB ain't reliable just that i have had some hiccups with it in the past. Also the database that i would be creating (a copy of TMDB) would be for personal use only, and if it ever was to be used in an application TMDB would, of course receive full acknowledgment as requested in the rules.
