Upcoming Movies list have many released movies

I know there are different kind of releases but it would be logical that the released movies would not be in the upcoming list. There seems to be quite a few in the list now.

Currently first 7 movies are released, this kind of makes the upcoming list difficult to use. Is there a bug or is this how this is meant to be and will remain?

The status field is 100% manual right now, there is no automatic switching or control over it based on release dates.
There is an open ticket about this but it's fairly low priority and hasn't got any of my attention yet.

As a quick fix, maybe status could automatically switch to released if release date > current date? As for upcoming list it should just exclude released movies (check by status and by date). Hope you look into it in the near future.

I am using the date right now but will add status field more for "rumored" and other values that cannot be calculated from the release date or other data. My issue is more that downloading upcoming movie list actually provides a lot of released movies as well and I don't want to get all upcoming movies(just the good manually added ones)
