The Movie Database Support

Hi guys.

I am making a trivia game (for mobile devices) in which the user needs to discover who is the actor in a photo that I show in the screen.

I would like to make the game available also for offline playing, so I would like to have some actor's photos (around 20 photos) locally storaged.

Would that be okay with you guys or I would be violating the API Terms of Use B.3 ("Cache any TMDb metadata or photos other than for reasonable periods in order to provide your service.")?

Thanks and congrats for the great work with the TMDb

Hi Renato,

We are indeed ok with it. The main point of this clause is that you acknowledge the fact that the data is not yours and should we ever ask you to remove it you will. We have never done this in 5 years though, it's worst case scenario type stuff.

Sure. I understand that.

Thanks,

Renato

Hi Travis

I too had this question when I signed up for API access. Perhaps in the license agreement you could link to a discussion document describing your intent around caching?

Thanks, Daniel.
