Is there a way to find the gender of a given person (i.e, of a given id)?

Unfortunately no, there is not. We don't currently store this information on people.

I've created a new ticket for this but I don't have any immediate plans to address this. It will however, be something I consider in the future.

I agree that this is not a priority but since I will be already creating that gender list for me I thought that I could share with the TMDb since someone could also find that info useful.
