I started a few weeks writing a recommendation engine which intends to integrate different media (eg youtube, itunes, twitter, facebook, google, bing) based on digital media and recommendations. My basic idea is that recommendations may be integrated into social media and therefore the user has a personal webspace through which see what his friends are recommending, and where different choices may exist. He can also control his space in terms of who sees what he is recommending. This is a kind of cloud idea which detaches the user from a website and interfaces him into a web ontology.

I think MovieDB could be really useful in this quest I have, and I am interested to discuss the prospect of involving MovieDB in a recommendation engine. If you google recommendation engines there are links explaining the basic concepts.
