That is very strange. It worked for me on my first try... if this happens to you again on any movie can you let me know?

We are experiencing the same problem. I can't set the correct release date. Using Safari on ML or on iPad running iOS 6.0.1.
Example, https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/103731-mud/edit?active_nav_item=release_information
When I edit the date (correct release date for USA is 26th) in the date dialog, it correctly changes in the background. But when I press save, it changes to 25th. I wonder if this has to do with time zones or regional settings or something like that. Or just a JavaScript error. No idea. But it is reproducible here and happened with a couple of other movies.

I believe this to be the case as well but I haven't slightest clue as to why. Take a string in and save it. I'm not taking regions into account here.
I'll try to find time to look at this later this week.

I'm using the same workaround as MacFly in every field that takes a date. (Firefox on Windows)

Hey guys,
I pushed one small change that may or may not have anything to do with this problem. As I stated earlier, I've never been able to reproduce this myself, I've added and edited hundreds of release dates both here on production and locally on development and it has never once acted this way. Soooo… give it a go now, it may still do it but I need you guys to tell me.
Last thing, if it is still doing it, can you let me know the following information:
Thanks!

Still an error:
Safari on mac editing in french i'm in France it's 7:05 AM
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/10911-the-guns-of-navarone/edit?active_nav_item=release_information date added for france 1961-09-08 first then 1961-09-09 to get the good one
Detail: when clicking save yo can see the date is correct and then the value changes to the -1 value in the second after clicking
hope you can find it, i'll continue with +1 method ;-)
Thank you

I can confirm this behaviour too (even now it happens):
Internet Explorer 9, 32-Bit
german/german
23:06 CET on this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/28345-heidi/edit?active_nav_item=release_information
Currently i am adding those dates with +1 at day to get a "correct" result.

I'm having the same problem, and it definitely seems to have something to do with timezones. I'm located London, UK, and if I enter US release dates they are usually correct, but if I enter European release dates, they usually end up being one day less, so I have to go back, add one more day and then save again in order to get it correct. However, sometimes the European dates come out correct the first time.
Could it possibly depend on which date it is in the US when I enter a European date, as midnight comes to Europe a lot earlier, i.e. the database is a bit to smart and figures that if someone enters a date while being one day ahead of the server, the database takes off a digit in an attempt to correct it? I'll keep an eye on it and report my findings.

Not fixed, just added French release 1st Nov 2007 to this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/15455-les-murs-porteurs
Returned 31st Oct 2007.
Using Firefox 19.0

Yes, same here. I continue to experience the one day off problem. It's not consistent, and may sometimes come and go within the same session, i.e. I go into a film and add a release date for country and it ends up correct. I then add another release date for another country to the same film, without leaving the release date window, and this one will be off one day, forcing me to re-enter the date with an extra day in order to get it correct.
