When uploading a backdrop, if the image is PNG, the image uploads and then there's a message that it has to be a JPEG. Please do the conversion yourself. This puts people off of uploading having to do it themselves even if they know how to do it, and some users don't and a significant number probably don't even know that it can be done. Also allow batch uploading.

HI Hyomil,
Thanks for your feedback. We could look at doing the conversion ourself but I would argue that if you're capable enough to know where to even source fan art and crop/resize it to meet our size standards, you're probably perfectly capable of exporting it to a JPEG at the same time.
Contributing posters and fan art is not necessarily we want just anyone to be able to do as it is often the case where the aspect ratios and minimum size restrictions aren't met (because they simply aren't technical enough to understand what this means).
Batch uploading is something we could look at and I've created a ticket for it.

Ok, I wasn't thinking of saving to the wrong format in an image editing program, but of Blu-ray screenshots for fan art, which often come in PNG format. I've figured out now how to batch convert, but many wouldn't or just wouldn't take the time. I'm also used to using listal.com, which does this automatically.
Speaking of size and aspect ratio restrictions, it seems like it would be good to do this on the server as well because I can't think of another way to keep users from stretching images more in one direction than another (rather than scaling and cropping if needed) to comply with the restrictions. These are really the worst images and I'd much rather see images with black borders than these.
Other ideas:
1) Embeds for videos
2) Ratings for videos
3) Music video attribute for videos (with Official checkbox if you know that it is)
4) Videos section for People (interviews)
5) RSS feed for each movie
6) For fan art, checkboxes for tags of actors in the movie instead of allowing just anyone's name to be added. Added tags could be displayed in the order in which the boxes were checked. Also, as it is now, the tags don't display on the Backdrops page--only on the images on a movie's main page.

Bruno, is the image the correct aspect ratio? Maybe upload the file to imgur or some image sharing site so that someone can make sure the image is correct.
