Wikipedia indicates that Mr. McDermott's birth year was 1871; IMDb indicates 1881. I've viewed his 1929 California death certificate, which clearly indicates that 1881 was his birth year. His mother, Annie, was the informant of personal details for the death certificate. She of course knew when her own child was born and what his age (47 years) at death was. Thus, there's no reason to doubt the validity.

I've locked all details (other than the bio) for Mr. McDermott, as I've viewed and examined multiple documents pertaining to him, and everything currently presented on his TMDb profile page has been verified via those sources.

PS: Marc McDermott was a severe alcoholic who ultimately died the result of cirrhosis of the liver. That would explain why he looked older than his actual age.
