Jo Nesbø is a Norwegian writer, musician, economist, and former soccer player and reporter. More than 3 million copies of his novels had been sold in Norway as of March 2014; his work has been translated into over 50 languages, and by 2021 had sold some 50 million copies worldwide, making him the most successful Norwegian author of all time.

Il est un écrivain, musicien, économiste, ancien footballeur, scénariste et journaliste norvégien. Il est auteur de roman policier et de littérature d'enfance et de jeunesse. Il a d'abord été journaliste économique puis s'est dirigé vers la musique. Il est connu pour sa participation en tant qu'auteur, compositeur et interprète au groupe de pop "Di Derre," un des plus célèbres en Norvège, de 1993 à 1998. Il est propulsé sur la scène littéraire en 1997 avec son premier titre "L'homme chauve-souris".
