Showcase Cinemas in 1982 were showing brief old clips of many silent movies just before the feature film. I referred to this before when describing Laurel and Hardy's clip from Flying Dueces. Like that film which was actually a 1930s talkie so was this. They showed a clip of Will Rogers lassoing a rope and then a very big curtain falling down behind him. (They showed all these while playing an audio of an old stock music and nothing else!) I did not know who Rogers was at the time. I presumed it was a silent a film when it was, again, a talkie. What movie was it?

PS Will Rogers was mentioned on Mash ( see my postings). Too many viewers thought he was the guy with Dale and Trigger!
