Charlie 3 éves kora óta táncol, táncosnő akart lenni. Jazzt és steppet tanult a Broadway Dance Center -ben, hip-hopot Kelly Peternél és balettet a Joffrey Ballet stúdióban. Az éneklés is közel áll a szívéhez, énekelt is egy kórusban. A bátyja, Jackson filmrendező Kaliforniában,ennek hatására került Charlie is a filmiparba.
