Around that same time - early to mid 1980's - I had a friend who lived in Hollywood that worked as a telemarketer. I don't know if she knew him, though. That must be a fairly easy job to get because she was a drunk. Would show up for work drunk and drink the entire time she was there. She would call me up totally plastered and keep falling asleep on the phone.
