Isn’t the saying my ppl will call your ppl? Celebs have a team (PA, PR, agent, manager, lawyer, accountant) that does things for them. So nothing weird about that.

Celebs get invited to all kinds of things and they get free designer stuff. All kinds of brands send them stuff. So nothing weird about that either.

This is abhorrent behaviour and a sign of where we have gone as a society in general. That’s not right and you can’t say no bc you may lose gigs or the chance to be invited to real parties with all kinds of industry ppl you can meet. You know, to do some networking.

There’s a power imbalance there. But I think you can decline invitations from celebs. Just be very polite bc you never know if the celeb can put you on a blacklist. Say you’re very flattered. It’d have been awesome, but you have other matters that can’t be rescheduled. Wish the band an amazing performance and hope you can attend next time. That’s it.
