I believe she wanted to be JL’s PA. People like that are willing to do anything to be near a celeb to further their career. I think she didn’t get the job because of her age.

I think a PA works full-time. She didn’t know a minor can only work a few hours on school days? Is she aware a 17 yo is a minor? Maybe she thought being friends with someone older makes her older. Hopefully JL’s team have the application.

The basic rules for working in California in 2009 were very similar to the current ones.

• Minors needed a work permit in 2009, which was typically obtained through their school.
  
• Age 16-17 can work up to 4 hours on school days and 8 hours on non-school days (up to 48 hours per week during the summer).
  
• Can work between 5 AM and 10 PM on school days, and until midnight on non-school days.
  
• Still restricted from certain hazardous jobs, but can do more types of work than younger teens.

Yeah, #9 too. Aren’t motivational talks meant to be a little over the top to lift you up? Make you feel good, confident and motivated? Make you believe in yourself? Make you feel like you can take on the world? In this girl’s case, it made her feel seen.

I think the shadows thing is meant to show how weird JL is.

Duh, Triks! He’s the frontman of an emo band. Goth, emo, met(al) are all considered weirdos.

TBH, it sounds like JL threw parties bc that’s what rich celebs do. Hey, look at me! I’m constantly throwing awesome parties. I’m surrounded by beautiful young models.

BTW, JL doesn’t drink alcohol. So at these parties, he stays in the shadows so nobody can see he’s drinking Kool-aid.

JL constantly says things like to make your dreams come true no matter f*cking what. Not everybody will love you. Many will try to kill your dreams. But believe in yourself and keep going. He didn’t come from money. He had to fight for everything when he started out.
