Tom Cruise to Film Aboard the International Space Station

One small step for Tom Cruise, one giant leap for moviemaking?

Cruise is partnering with NASA to shoot a movie, at least in part, aboard the National Space Station, NASA has confirmed, the first narrative feature to be shot in space.

“NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station,” NASA administrator Jim Bridentsine tweeted on Tuesday. “We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.”

Deadline Hollywood first reported Monday night that Cruise and Elon Musk’s SpaceX were in the early stages of teaming up with NASA for an action-adventure feature film that would be shot in outer space. Plot details have not been revealed, although Deadline reports that it will not be an installment of Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible” franchise.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw the pic of a certain heroine. Believe me, I froze and my mouth stayed open for a while. Praise the Lord, she’s wearing pants. Her costume is beautiful and sexy. She’s absolutely stunning. She’s perfect! I think I’ll watch this show now.

How many times have criticized WW’s costume? Don’t worry, I’ll do that to day too. Both PJ and GG kept saying that a woman can be beautiful, strong and sexy. Of course she can. But the first mistake is to think that sexy means skimpy clothes. The second mistake is to refuse to see how impractical it is for a woman in a mini skirt and basque to fight beings (Ares, Doomsday) as powerful as herself. The third mistake is to ignore the fact that the costume of the heroes all got updated to be less revealing. I think a feminist would ask why the heroine’s costume doesn’t get the same treatment. Equal treatment for both gender.

I have to thank WW’s costume and ST crap for my lack of interest in a possible SG film. But after seeing the costume of the small screen SG, I must say that I might support the idea of a big screen SG.

Universal and AMC are quarreling: What it says about Hollywood and its future

Theater owners had been understanding when movies that had already been in theaters went to the home video market early or theatrical releases that had already done the bulk of their marketing skipped theaters for a video-on-demand launch. However, the relationship between exhibitors and studios reached a boiling point Tuesday, resulting in the world’s largest theater chain announcing that it would no longer show movies from one of the biggest studios in Hollywood. 

Since 2010, when Netflix shifted from renting DVDs to launching a streaming service, the theatrical model has become increasingly threatened. Consumers typically are only venturing out to theaters three to five times a year, and with more content becoming available on more streaming platforms, there’s a fear that movie theaters could continue to take a hit.

It’s no surprise that studios are looking for alternative release strategies during this time. The lack of movie theaters has resulted in the majority of film titles being pushed to later dates on the theatrical calendar.

Not to mention, there is growing concern that while consumers may be itching to leave their homes, they may not be ready to flock back to theaters. A survey by Coresight showed 44% of those polled would look to avoid movie theaters even after lockdown orders are lifted and cinemas are allowed to reopen.

Rumours going around that WB is refocusing on Superman since plans for Supergirl have reportedly slowed.

I hope this is true and Superman gets back on track, especially with @henrycavill and maybe Brainiac.

SG has high ratings on RT, but her popularity has declined over the years. S1 had an average of 9.81 mil viewers. S4 only had 1.62 mil. Maybe WB is taking that as a sign. They’re probably cautious with DC heroines because of BOP too. HQ was really popular, but BOP failed anyway.

It’s all about which film, F&F or H&S, can be more ridiculous. H&S took the cake with the super human crap which is kind of a SiFi thing. Maybe they’ll send Hobbs to space to protect humans from an alien virus that can turn humans into super humans.
