I thought HC was close to Michael Blevins and was happy working with him, why did he get dumped? Did Dany convince him to dump him? As manager, does she also have a say on who trains HC and not allow HC to choose his own?

I wonder how MB feels being dumped (assuming he was).

After his interview in the Rake that seems to be critical of Zack Snyder, is he in a way trying to break ties from people Zack recommended? I’m just thinking that Blevins came from Mark Twight’s gym, and Zack hired MT and his trainers to train the cast of MOS and BvS (although Ben Affleck brought his own trainer).

Alternatively, do you think HC just wants to follow ‘a new training method’. There had been some controversy around MT’s methods (I remember it being discussed in the old IMDB discussion board.)

No, however, I think Dany can be very persuasive. Let's not forget she swindled people out of millions.

I don’t get it, why does HC want to be physically ‘bigger’. What would he gain by being ‘bigger’? If he really has no interest in the craft of acting, or even producing or directing, would getting physically bigger help him get more action movies? I mean if that is what he is aiming for, wouldn’t those roles just go to The Rock or even Jason Momoa. (The Rock has a bigger and diverse fan base.)

There are are other action actors that are not as big - Jason Stratham, Ryan Reynolds, the other super hero actors, all the Chinese actors with martial arts skills. Hey wait a sec, do you think he’s into martial arts because he wants to be a Jean Claude Van Damme or Chuck Norris? But not even Jean or Chuck are as bulky.

If there is a little chance he’d still be the next James Bond, I don’t think he needs the bulkiness.

Well, the people behind Bond is said to be open to a female Bond or a non-white male actor to play Bond. I personally think they’ll stick to the status quo and stick with a white male Brit. Tom Hiddleston, Tom Hardy are just a few I’m hearing, but I’m sure it’s going to end up being someone completely unexpected as what happened with Craig.

A part of me still kinda wish it would be HC. I think he would’ve been a better James Bond than Superman. But seriously since Craig came along, a more brusque menacing-looking Bond seems ok, rather than the one who just looks suave and good in a tux. Also by the time Craig does his last stint as Bond, that would be what year? Then you start preparing for another one... HC may be nearly 40 by then, and I’m not sure if they’ll still cast him then, though Harrison Ford was already in his 40s when he did Indiana Jones.

Indiana Jones wasn't established in the public's mind as Bond, so an older Indie was fine. I had a crush on Harrison. I mean Star Wars was before my time, but I still would drool over him.

He was in Brazil and as Bruce Banner doing some Brazilian martial arts and meditation routine with a trainer. But obviously he turns into the green monster, then no need for that BJJ

If he has given up James Bond, and possibly, he may be replaced by another actor as Superman given all the shake-up in DC, do you think he’d still need the same level of training he’s getting from Dany’s hubby, or would he try to tone down? I mean it was the Superman thing that got him into this thing in the first place, so if that gig is over...

That’s true. I just hope that there won’t be another long drought of inactivity on his part (in terms of movies). I do note that his usual schedule includes some charity event for Durell or something for his bro’s Royal Marines Trust Fund. Hmmm, if he does another Durell run, I wonder if Ben and his new trainer would join him (as the Blevins did so in the past). Or would Lucy join in too given TK did last year, even though they broke up.

He has a Durrell run for May 2018.

Good question. Maybe, Mr. Dave is scared of flying over water, but I would think he would make an appearance on set. So far, I've seen him on the red carpet w/HC. It'll be interesting to see if he shows up for that.
