It seems instead of the usual 90 days waiting period between a movie’s release in the theatres and it being released on home video, it seems Justice League will be coming out sooner — at the end of January.

Not sure how accurate this is given the author wrote January 30, 2017 (which is last year!). Perhaps he meant 2018?
If it’s true it’s coming out soon, I doubt WB had anytime recutting the film to release the so-called Zack Snyder cut. However, seeing the deleted scenes would be nice, particularly if HC really wore a black Superman suit and if there are more Aquaman scenes.

I think I heard that it's coming out early, but it's already out online. The bootleg is in perfect condition, if it ever was during its short theatrical run.

If the Blu-ray/DVD is coming out this early, how much extras do you think would it have? Would Zack participate in the extras? Would he and Joss sit together to discuss the movie, or better yet, be voicing any commentaries while the movie is running as they do in some video?
If there are extras which include the deleted scenes, behind the scenes features, interviews, gags, I wonder if HC will have a segment about his usual training. I wonder if Zack, Whedon and all the cast would come together for an interview extra in the Blu-ray?

I think they want this all to be a distant memory. I don't think Zach wants to participate in this at all, since he removed all traces of JL from his social media. Now, maybe, the actors or even Zach are contractually obligated to say a bit or two, and may have, during production. However, so much money has been spent on this movie, so much that they couldn't bother with any decent CGI on HC, that they might cut the bleeding.

Well, it would be odd if Zack or Joss do not have a commentary section. Both have shown a strong presence in the extras of their other projects. I might for MOS, apart from the extras on the Blu-Ray, there was even some more that you can only stream from the internet.
If they want to ‘cut’ the bleeding, I suppose getting the Blu-Ray/DVD out as soon as possible is their way of trying to get the money asap from the audience who decided to give JL a miss from the theatres to watch it on video. Perhaps if this first lot of videos do well, they may create new versions of the video tomorrow when they have more bonus features. This is WB, after all... I remember very well how they’d release some versions of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit series on DVD/Blu-Ray, then come up with newer versions later on with more bonus features, so some fans/collectors get suckered to buy the newer versions again just to see the new extras.
I do recall another studio (Fox), released X-Men: Days of Future Past on home video with some features, then months later released a new version, which included the original cut of the movie by Singer, which featured the cut scenes of Anna Paquin as Rogue. It was the original cut that no one saw in the movie, so a lot of people (like me) ended up buying two versions of the DVD/Blu-Ray.
I wonder if we have the same situation here. One version with minimal extras to be released quickly by the end of January, then have a ‘bigger’ (collector’s pack?) version months later, with the possibility of a different cut?

LOL, Phoebe. Look I’m just speculating here based on WB’s marketing history for some of their blockbuster movies. Only thing is the situation for each movie is different. Everyone knows what a big hit the Lord of the Rings trilogy was and even the prequel movies with the hobbits, so coming up with those DVDs with so many features and extras, not to mention some marketed in ‘collector boxes’ with the ring or keys and other trinkets from the movie worked well for them.
Since BvS came out though, all I’ve seen so far are different packaging — extended edition, theatrical release, 3D, Ultra HD 4K, in special collector tin boxes, with the soundtrack, an artwork book, a comic book, etc. So far, I haven’t seen them release a totally new cut of it with even more extended scenes that were rumoured to be there, but maybe they were not.
I personally think JL will go the same route as BvS, although with BvS, Zack was still around to provide an extended cut that showed more Clark’s investigation and more of Lex Luthor’s ploy against him. Not so sure if WB/DC would do the same with JL, that is, whether they’ll show an extended cut on the first go. IMO it would be nice if they did because I would like to see more scenes with Aquaman. From what I’ve seen on the web, there were more scenes under Atlantis, an extended scene of Bruce looking for Aquaman, and possibly more scenes with the Amazons. Not sure how much scenes there were of Clark Kent and Superman.
As for X-Men: Days of Future Past, haven’t you seen the Rogue Cut edition version? I subscribe to some movie magazines (print and electronic). One magazine offered different cover variants out of all the characters of this movie. There was a specific Rogue one, so we knew she was originally in the movie. It was sad because in the theatrical release we never saw Rogue. Singer, in interviews I read, hinted that he wished that the home video release would include his original cut that included Rogue, because he was forced to cut her out in the theatrical release as the movie got too long. When the first video release came out, it was just the theatrical release with extras, which pissed me off because it made me think the Rogue scenes were not real. Months later or a year (?), they did release the Rogue cut edition which true to Bryan Singer’s words had Rogue adding a few twists to the plot. For example, we find out Rogue was being held by the Trask corporation so they could get her powers and infuse it into their sentinels. Bobby (Ice Man), Magneto and others executed a plan to save her. They actually needed her because Kitty Pryde (played by Emma Page) was getting weaker keeping Logan (Wolverine) in the past, so they needed her to absorb Kitty’s powers and continue keeping Logan in the past. Bobby died rescuing Rogue which is quite a different twist because in the movie he died defending the last fort they were hiding out. I could see why Rogue’s character was deleted, the story worked without her, but the parts she was in did add an extra dimension to the story (ie Rogue, Bobby and Kitty was implied to be in some triangle). You also ask why the team never attempted to rescue Rogue before, and so forth...
The problem with JL is that Zack is not saying anything about a different cut, unlike Singer who mentioned it for the X-Men movie. A director saying outright that there is a different cut, and that he would like it released makes a big difference compared to just all these petitions and rumours. Perhaps, Zack really just lost the mojo when BvS didn’t do so well and he had to modify his vision for JL, then his daughter committed suicide (which is even a bigger blow), so it’s perfectly understandable he just couldn’t continue it anymore.

The latest word is that JL will be released in March.

I’m glad they’re releasing it later. Based on the first link, they’re going the same route as BvS. Released with many alternative packaging.
The second link speaks of an extended cut, but most likely just adding on deleted scenes, and not a Snyder cut of the movie.
Well, if there was ever a Snyder cut, maybe it’ll come out years later, the same way the director’s cut of the original Blade Runner came years after (with a lot of people still preferring the original theatrical cut).

It would be interesting to see how well it does in DVD, Blu-ray, HD and streaming sales.

As if I care. . . but for those that do: Justice League's Blu-Ray will add just 1 deleted scene.

Hmmm, is it one of Snyder’s ‘great’ scenes or shot of something (like more Amazon scenes?)

Your guess is good as mine.

From the descriptions I’ve been seeing, I think there would be more than one deleted scenes included, but definitely no special Snyder cut or version of the film.
