Discuss Henry Cavill

Henry is contractually obligated to play Superman one more time.

Do you want Superman solo or in a team (i.e., MOS 2 or JL 2) and why?

WB is really gonna make a GLC film.

Former DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns is writing and producing the Green Lantern Corps movie for Warner Brothers.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news while announcing that Geoff Johns is stepping down from his post as president and chief creative officer at DC Entertainment for a writing and producing deal with Warner Bros. and DC.

Plot details for Green Lantern Corps are being kept under wraps. The project is set to feature the DC Extended Universe debut of Hal Jordan and John Stewart, two of the most popular characters to take on the Green Lantern mantle.

Geoff Johns himself is already quite busy as he’s working as a writer and producer on the Wonder Woman sequel. He also has a co-writing and executive producing credit on this year’s Aquaman.

GL was a huge flop, but they will give it a reboot or remake. MOS is the second highest grossing SM film, but they won't give it a sequel.

WB don't know what they want or what to do. The shake-ups and shake-downs didn't help.

I agree with both of you.

Today is SM day and ZS shared a pic of HC in the MOS suit.

Speaking of Snyder, you may be aware of how he can’t stop sharing goodies preserving his time spent with the DC Extended Universe. In this case, he’s disclosed an image capturing the first time Cavill put on the costume specifically designed for Man of Steel (above) and, let me tell you, the guy looks downright majestic

Why can't they get new people? Geoff Johns  was partly responsible for JL.

Justice Leaguewas a product of WB's reactionary approach to the reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Even though production was already underway, they ordered massive rewrites and tonal changes in an attempt to appease BvS's critics.

In a response to today's news that Geoff Johns is stepping down as DC's CCO, Vulture's Kyle Buchanan revealed that Johns was a key figure in the Justice Leaguescript drama early on. Apparently, it was Johns who spearheaded the script changes for Justice Leagueas production continued - something that didn't set well with original writer Chris Terrio. Furthermore, WB allegedly set up a "footage summit"where they met with other writers about the film, Whedon included.

This report just reaffirms what was already pretty clear: Justice Leaguewas constantly being changed and receiving input from multiple creatives. The end result was a hybrid of a film that some find enjoyable, yet doesn't feel true to any one particular vision. Ultimately though, this is to be expected when so much meddling happens during a film's production. It didn't help that (reportedly) WB executives wouldn't delay the projecteither, in order to ensure that they still got their bonus checks.

After Man of Steel and BvS were not received well critically, it's understandable that WB would be weary of continuing Snyder's original five DC film plan. But, if changes were as necessary as WB believed them to be, then they needed to bite the bullet and delay the movie to get it right. That could've saved everyone from Henry Cavill's CG upper lip, Steppenwolf's rough look, and other issues related to the film's tone and story.

Good question. Some of us keep asking the same thing with the exact same words or other words. Why do they keep hiring people from MCEU is another good question.

I don't get it either. GL and NG are more complicated than SM.

Weep not, ladies. HC has dropped two not-so-subtle hints about MOS 2.

Fans who follow Cavill’s Instagram account know that the actor has been bulking up in the gym for a while now, which might point at Superman’s immediate return to the big screen. The fact that he also says he is working on his “Super Buns” also seems to be a not-so-subtle hint at what he is preparing for.

Another not-so-subtle hint is the “much sooner” part.

I end up winning then you may or may not see them in a tight blue outfit much sooner!

I don’t believe he’ll appear in costume at the T CA. He probably said that to throw us off.

Something's up. HC must play SM at least one more time. So...

Only WW and Aquaman are confirmed. But everybody knows about them. WB should have a surprise. NG, BOP, SS 2, Joker and even Flash and Deathstroke aren't a surprise. MOS 2 would be a surprise.

I suppose. DC won't have to share the geeks with MC. LOL

SDCC would have been a good place for the Aquaman (AM) trailer to premiere. But the trailer already premiered at CineEurope. The reactions are positive.

The first reaction from Warner Bros.’ yet-to-drop Aquaman trailer has surfaced online.

Russian website KinoMetro.ru gave a brief description of the trailer after it was screened exclusively for CineEurope attendees visiting the Warner Bros. presentation Monday.

The trailer was full of “not only traditional action and dizzying special effects, but also good humor,” the site reported, adding the footage featured an “unusually bright picture” that is “not so common with films from DC.”

Warner Bros. will reportedly give the trailer its online debut “soon,” and it’s likely the studio could make a splash if the trailer first premieres at San Diego Comic Con in July as expected.
