Discuss Henry Cavill

If you post on other websites that talk about Henry (like his Facebook page, fansites) then it would be an opportunity to let his fans know about themoviedb.org. Things could really pick up if we ourselves advertise TMDb. wink

Good to know Salt. Though I don't know if HCN would allow that. I'm thinking they don't want to draw people away from there so they'll might remove the comment.

Hey, Salt!

Where is your cat avatar?

Cat avatar?

Didn't you have the cat w/the lime on his head?

Nope. You must be thinking of someone else. I've never had an avatar.

That looks cute though, haha!

It does, lol.

That obviously doesn't seem to work. Many people don't visit other sites.

Now we know that big budget films won't lure people here either. Since IMDb closed down, many people don't seem eager to share their opinion on boards with lots of freedom anymore.

A last option would be to invite family, friends and colleagues, but you won't be able to write whatever you want.

I doubt TMDB will ever be like IMDb. No MCEU member has an active board. And Cavill is the only DCEU member with a board with some activity going on.

Do you know why even after a year this site is so slow?

It depends on what you mean by ‘slow’. If you’re after discussion of his movies, well there’s not much on his filmography to discuss. So all you get is a lot of redundant JL threads here.

There’s also more action in other discussion board. WDW is more active. Datalounge has more funny and interesting (if not ‘bytchy’ gossip (LOL!). And there are more IMDB clones or other movie discussion boards that sprung up after IMDB closed. A lot of the people I used to chat with went to those boards. (Pity really, some had more insider knowledge.)

Personally, I think this board pacing is about what it was on IMDB if not better at times. There would be days and old timers have said weeks w/o any new posting on IMDB, so far, this HC thread is keeping steady and hasn't gone weeks w/o posting let alone months or even days beyond the first creation of the site/thread.

The format on that site makes my head spin so I stay away.

So true.

You think so? LOL! I thought there was more variety (and drama?) on IMDB, though I could do without the worship of a body part and the racist/inflammatory comments of certain posters... I also thought we had some more informative posters on IMDB who actually worked in th industry. I know there was an entertainment journalist (a real one, not one who runs a fan site), some colourful fan site admins, marketing/PR folks, a company exec, one person who is in the business of producing movie trailers, some financial accountants for movie studios, a few who were great researchers on the internet and social media. Of course, they were not all on HC’s boards, but I visited other boards. I don’t see that variety here.

I also miss some of the functions of IMDB, such as finding out what other sites a poster posts to or that neat function that shows you who uses several usernames (I bet that’s happening here too... wink )

I never clicked on the body worshiping threads, and I couldn't take all of that racist/inflammatory noise. To me, it stopped the discussion and it was rinsed repeat too much.

I'm talking about the HC thread - not the film thread.

Me too.

Actually we did get a variety of people on the HC thread. With the exception of the financial accountants and those who worked in the studio, all the others I listed there were on the HC board.

HC is slow so is his board. Are we supposed to keep talking about jujutsu or the JL abomination till MI6 is released? LOL
