I'd say he was absolutely drained after doing THE REVENANT. He needs the break!!

He's got a busy schedule to keep. Riding around the French Riviera on a yacht and banging smoking hot supermodels takes its toll and hes now in his 40's.

I remember on imdb there were multiple threads about his tastes for women now young enough to be his daughters. My take was because he used to look much younger than his age, and didn't hit puberty until 18, he never felt his age and his tastes became stuck as he was young for much longer than most.

Or, like most men, he's just into attractive young women!! And his vast fortune helps him hook up with them!

Most men who are 40 aren't into 20 year olds because they feel the generation gap and feel kind of creepy about it. Most rich men opt for a 10 year age gap at 40, not 20.

I didn't know that was a thing. Shows how much I know! I work at a five-star hotel and golf resort and see older guys with much younger women all the time.
